Have you ever read a portion of scripture and it literally jumps off the page and straight into your heart? This happened to Rev Amanda with Mark 6:31 in the summer of 2023. 

Rev Amanda was in a season of prayer and fasting when the Lord spoke to her about this project. God revealed His loving Father heart for His labourers, He wants them to rest with Him and in Him. Over a few months, the mechanism to fulfil this vision slowly unravelled. This is a huge leap of faith, but there is no denying the invitation of Jesus – “come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest” 

There is nothing the devil loves more than a tired Christian, they are easy prey for stress, anxiety and chaos. We know that those who are called to serve in ministry spend countless hours doing for Jesus and not enough time being with Jesus. This was the case with the disciples, they had been working tirelessly, the Bible says they were coming and going with no time to eat, then Jesus offers them a wonderful invitation. It is still the same today, many workers for the Lord are not eating well and resting with Jesus.
