Reverend Amanda is a wife and a mother to three beautiful children. She is passionate about seeing people restored and living a full life beyond salvation. She is a passionate Bible teacher who believes in the transformative power of God’s word, teaching with practical examples and bringing the Bible to life. She is a Prayer Minister, an Inspirational Speaker and Mentor.

Reverend Amanda is also an award-winning author, with much of her work grounded in the redeeming, empowering and transformative power of God’s love. Her debut book, The Love That Set Me Free was met with critical acclaim, with readers recognising themselves and finding healing through her autobiographical account of childhood abuse, suppressionand trauma. Since then, she has authored several instructional guides for living life fully according to God’s will both fiction and non-fiction books.

Reverend Amanda is a Senior NHS Professional, working as the Associate Director for Immunisation and Vaccinations NHS Kent and Medway ICB in the UK. Amanda is a Law Graduate (LLb Hons), a Prince 2 Practitioner, she is certified in Business Analysis Practice and holds several leadership qualifications and continues to pursue deeper study of the word with various training and courses.

She is the founder and CEO of Empower a Woman (EAW), a UK-based non-profit organisation that is set up to meet the needs of vulnerable women.

Eruke Ideh-Ichofu

Executive Director

Eruke is a mother to two lovely boys. She currently works as the Head of Change Delivery for a Technology Defence company, playing her part to keep our nation safe. She is also a director of Alytera Ltd, a company that runs out of Nigeria and is focused on helping businesses work more effectively and efficiently. She brings this expertise into her executive duties at Empower a Woman as well as planning projects for Empower a Woman and coordinates all its projects and administrative functions. She is very passionate about seeing women attain their full potential, working with vulnerable mums and supporting young girls and women.

Efemena Ideh

Director Of Operations, Empower A Woman West Africa

Efemena is Senior Programme Manager in the Telecomms and ICT Industry. She uses her expertise to coordinate all the projects in West Africa including the Christmas project for Widows and Children education sponsorship. She is passionate about working with low income mums, supporting entrepreneurship and promoting schemes that enable women to work part time whilst raising a family. She runs 2 successful businesses and teaches vulnerable women vital skills in Home Organising, Jewellery Making and Candles for retail. Efemena is now committed to building and expanding Empower a Woman Scotland.

Rachel Bammeke

Head of Outreach & Fundraising

Rachel Bammeke is a mother and a wife. She is also a qualified teacher and has been successfully running a tutoring business since 2005. Her passion is to encourage, motivate and empower women to enjoy life and live a life of significance no matter what they are going through or what they have been through.

She is the founder of Women Empowering Projects, a non-profit organisation that aims to provide a place of respite where women come to be elevated above their challenges, inspired to be the change, and rejuvenated for life’s journey. She is an author of two books; Bounce Back, Turning trials into triumph and Gratitude journal for Christian women. She’s also the producer of the Bounce Back Show on YouTube. She believes in making fitness a lifestyle which gave birth to the ‘Get Fit With Grateful Rachel’ community where she motivates and supports women to invest in their health and wellbeing.

Jan Spencer

Head of Empower a Woman Gloucestershire

Jan has worked with Empower A Woman since 2015, in Bournemouth and now in Gloucestershire. She has a history of experiencing and working with survivors of domestic abuse, which has brought her into contact with vulnerable women. God placed it on her heart to reach out to and encourage women in need of hope. Last Christmas (2022), EAW Gloucestershire distributed 147 Smile Gifts to women who had nothing or very little for themselves at Christmastime.

Rachel Onamusi

Director of Communications and Engagement

Rachel Onamusi is the founder of VN Sync, a full-service digital agency with expertise in all aspects of digital media, with special focus on strategy development, implementation and facilitation.

Her projects have ranged from marketing consulting, market research, corporate & personal brand management, product & campaign launch, political campaign media and PR, publicity strategy development and management, to technology training and certification platforms’ management.

An accomplished digital media strategist and growth facilitator for major corporate global brands, Rachel brings her experience to  the curation and management of digital content for Empower A Woman.
